We are honored to name this event after 16 year-old Timmy Belcher, who lost his life battling cancer earlier this year. Here is what Timmy’s mother Jodi had to say about this year’s event:
“When we decided to do this ride last year Timmy was very excited and very involved. He loved that he could be a part of something that could give back to people that had supported him. It is an honor for Tim and I and the Cornett family to have the opportunity to carry on Timmy's dream of giving back. This event was as much his vision as ours. We all wanted Timmy to be present at the event this year, that's why we all agreed to change the name to the “Timmy Belcher Memorial Riding for Rainbows Bike Ride & 5K.” We are looking forward to the event this year more than ever and encourage you to join us to carry on Timmy's memory and his desire to give back to his community.”
